A young man is in hospital after being bitten by a snake in north Queensland.
Paramedics were called to a Hervey Range property, west of Townsville, after a 21-year-old man was bitten by a snake on Monday morning, an ambulance spokeswoman said.
The man was taken to a Townsville hospital in a stable condition.

Two incidents in NSW and Queensland last month prompted calls for people to be aware of first aid procedures for snake bites.
Triple zero should be called immediately and a crepe bandage wrapped right down the patient's limb to stop the flow of venom, Queensland Health says.
