Mackay assaults may be linked: Qld cops

Police believe two violent assaults in central Queensland overnight could be linked.

The attacks in North Mackay on Sunday night left a 23-year-old man with cuts to his face and a 27-year-old unconscious with head injuries.

Both men were taken to hospital while police set up a number of crime scenes.
