LNP want to license Queensland croc kills

Queensland's Liberal National Party opposition has pledged to shoot crocodiles endangering humans and also to harvest their eggs if they succeed at the upcoming state election.

The LNP wants to empower licensed rangers to kill crocodiles in populated areas but it has ruled out a widespread cull which is being called for by three north Queensland crossbenchers.

The policy announcement comes after three northern council areas have expressed concerns the Labor government's crocodile management plan doesn't go far enough in protecting residents.
