Junkyard fire sends smoke across Brisbane

A fire at a car wreckers is sending thick plumes of smoke across Brisbane's southern suburbs.

Several scrap cars caught alight at the Rocklea business around 12.30pm on Thursday, with reports suggesting firefighters had to break through a fence to reach the blaze.

No-one has been hurt in the fire, a Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said.
