A man has been charged with cropping the ears and chopping the tails off six dogs west of Brisbane.

Queensland police and RSPCA officers raided a property at Willowbank on Tuesday morning and seized four dogs, two puppies, two guns and drug paraphernalia.

All the dogs were bulldogs and bull mastiffs, which are breeds commonly used in illegal dog fighting.
