Ipswich housefire suspicious: cops

A fire that destroyed part of a house southwest of Brisbane is being treated as suspicious.

The blaze engulfed the Leichhardt property, which was unoccupied at the time, just before noon on Sunday.

Part of the house and some of its contents were destroyed before the fire could be extinguished.
