Scammers have stolen around $30,000 worth of seafood from businesses around southeast Queensland.

Police say businesses at Mooloolaba, Warana and Capalaba have been hit by the scammers who falsify bank statements to make it appear they have transferred money for large orders of seafood.

Images have been released of a man who hired a refrigerated truck from Brisbane, using a Chinese driver's licence to collect the seafood.
