Hundreds join Brisbane Firebirds parade
AAP
Hundreds of netball fans have celebrated the Queensland Firebirds' back-to-back trans-Tasman titles during a ticker-tape parade in Brisbane's CBD.
Streamers rained down on the cavalcade of vintage cars ferrying the victorious players from the Queen St Mall to nearby King George Square on Saturday where they signed autographs.
The Firebirds became the first team to claim back-to-back titles by beating the NSW Swifts 69-67 in a double-overtime grand final last Sunday.
