Human remains found in Qld identified

Human remains found on a property in southern Queensland have been identified as belonging to a man who vanished in 2014.

Darrell Simon, 44, was reported missing from Plainland on November 16, 2014, and police on Monday confirmed remains found on a property at Laidley West in May were his.

Police say testing of further remains found this month are yet to be completed but preliminary investigations indicate there are no suspicious circumstances.

Mr Simon used to live on the property and his pushbike, which he was last seen riding, was found in a dam there earlier this year.
