Homemade bomb found on Qld footpath

A homemade bomb found on a footpath near a Bundaberg school has been detonated by police.
A member of the public found the crude explosive device in Thabeban, in the regional Queensland town, on Tuesday afternoon.
An exclusion zone was set up and the bomb squad safely detonated the device about 1am on Wednesday.

An investigation is continuing.
