Deputy Premier Jackie Trad says the state government will introduce new laws to cut red tape around the permit process for guide dogs in Queensland.

Ms Trad, who made the announcement at a guide dog graduation ceremony in Brisbane's north on Wednesday, said people would no longer have to prove their disability every time they renewed their guide dog permit, amongst other changes.

"We're talking about small changes that will have a big impact," Ms Trad said.
