Gold Coast cyclist hit by car

A female cyclist has been left with a broken wrist after a hit and run on the Gold Coast.

Police say the woman, believed to be in her mid-20s, was riding a bike when she was hit by a car on the Gold Coast Highway around 8am on Monday.

Police are searching for the driver, who fled the scene of the accident.
