Global experts meet in Qld for fraud forum

Australia's police forces will be better equipped to fight fraud and cyber crime following a symposium involving international and local experts, says one of Queensland's top cops.

Acting Detective Superintendent Terry Lawrence, from the Fraud and Cyber Crime Group, says the Gold Coast conference is an opportunity to share knowledge and best practice so police can better educate those vulnerable to an attack.

Fraud has become increasingly hard to tackle due to it's "borderless" nature he said.
