Girl, 12, dies after horror holiday crash in south-east Queensland

A 12-year-old girl critically injured in a single vehicle crash at Laidley in Queensland's southeast has died in hospital.
A 50-year-old man, the driver of the vehicle, died at the scene of the crash when the car left Rosewood-Laidley Road and hit a tree at around 4pm on Friday.
The girl died last night.
More than 10 emergency crews were called to the scene of the horrific crash on Friday, with traffic brought to a standstill.
In an unrelated incident overnight, a Queensland woman was charged with high range drink driving after her car allegedly clipped a police patrol vehicle.
Police will allege that officers were conducting a routine traffic stop on Jacaranda Street in North Booval around 1.20am when their car was side swiped by a passing vehicle.
Officers chased the car on foot before it mounted a curb.
A 37-year-old North Booval woman allegedly returned a blood alcohol concentration of 0.257 percent, more than five times the legal limit.
She was also charged with of failing to comply with the duties of a driver involved in a traffic crash.
