Four teens charged for Townsville joy-ride

Four teenagers - two girls and two boys - have been arrested and charged with stealing a vehicle and going on a joy-ride across Townsville.

The vehicle was stolen from a home on in the Townsville suburb of Mount Louisa about 4.45am on Monday and spotted by police at midday.

Police attempted to pull over the 16-year-old female driver before deploying tyre stingers at Pimlico and arresting five people.

The 16-year-old girl, another girl, 15, a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were all charged while an 18-year-old woman is assisting police with their inquiries.
