Five charged over north Qld wallaby death
AAP
Five people have been charged with animal cruelty offences over the alleged torture and death of a wallaby in north Queensland last year.
Police say a complaint was made in November that a man punched the injured wallaby and stomped on its head in Charters Towers while another man filmed it and posted the footage to snapchat.
Townsville police raided a number of addresses and seized mobile phones, dash cam footage, weapons and clothing.
