Firies battle Gold Coast boat blaze

A luxury boat moored on the Gold Coast has been destroyed by fire, with emergency services still working to bring the blaze under control.

The boat, believed to be a Bertram anchored just outside the Runaway Bay Marina, caught fire about 4.20pm on Monday, sending thick black smoke into the air.

Paramedics are on scene but have not treated any patients.
