Fans to congratulate Aussie athletes

Brisbane will play host to the Australian athletes who competed in the Commonwealth Games next week with an event to mark their success.

Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced that fans will have a chance to congratulate members of the Australian team on April 27.

It follows heavy criticism of the closing ceremony, which did not give viewers at home the chance to see athletes entering the stadium behind their nation's flag bearer.
