Extra charges after Gold Coast guns raid

A Gold Coast man has been hit with 14 extra charges after a stash of drugs, knives, guns and police clothing was uncovered by Queensland detectives.

The 61-year-old man was initially charged with two weapons offences, but that has been upgraded with another 14, including four additional counts of unlawfully possessing weapons.

The weapons and drugs were allegedly discovered during a raid of a property at Mudgeeraba early on Wednesday.

The man will face Southport Magistrates Court on Thursday.
