Mount Isa emergency situation resolved without incident after man made threats

An emergency situation in the Queensland town of Mount Isa is over after police negotiated with a man who had made threats.

Police said they were called to an address on Webb Street about midnight after reports the man had made threats.

An emergency situation was called at 12.45am and police closed the street.

Negotiators spoke with the man and the situation was resolved without incident at 3.50am.

The man was taken to hospital and police are investigating.
