Missing elderly couple found in Qld

An elderly American couple who got lost holidaying on the far north coast of NSW have been found safe and well.

Dale and Cavell Lawlor, both aged 78, left Kingscliff on Monday afternoon on their way to visit family at Durack, south of Brisbane but did not arrive.

Mr and Mrs Lawlor were found safe and well at Windaroo, roughly 30 minutes drive away from their destination, around midday on Tuesday.

A Queensland Police spokesman said the pair, in Australia to visit family, had become lost.
