Drink drive charge for stuck motorist

A driver whose car became stuck on tram lines on the Gold Coast has been charged with drink driving after allegedly returning a breath alcohol reading four times over the legal limit.
Police were called to the Sundale Bridge at Southport at around 1.50pm on Friday to find the sedan stuck on the lines.
A 38-year-old Southport man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of liquor (.224 per cent) and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on February 26.
