Dreamworld reopens two thrill rides eight weeks after fatal ride accident

Gold Coast theme park Dreamworld has reopened two of its so-called 'Big Nine' thrill rides.
The Pandamonium and Mick Doohan's Motocoaster rides are back online almost two months after a fatal accident claimed the lives of four guests on the Thunder River Rapids ride.
The remaining seven thrill rides - including the Claw, BuzzSaw and Tower of Terror II - remain closed as Dreamworld continues an internal and external safety review of every attraction in the park.
"This is a vitally important process and we simply cannot and are not rushing," Dreamworld CEO Craig Davidson said last month.
The park officially reopened on December 10, six weeks after the tragic accident, with just Tiger Island, the Corroboree Indigenous Precinct, wildlife areas, family entertainment, Wiggles World and ABC Kids World, available to the public.
Dreamworld has changed the ticket price for its reopening to $55 per adult. The park said $25 of each ticket will go to the Red Cross and will be donated to the four victims' family members.
The public has already donated more than $400,000 to the families.
It is estimated the theme park loses more than $300,000 every day it remained closed.
