A Queensland parliamentary committee will hold a public briefing to discuss the state's crackdown on domestic violence.

The Communities, Disability Services and Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Committee's briefing on Wednesday will discuss changes to domestic violence legislation.

It will consider enhanced protections for victims, including court orders that could ban domestic violence perpetrators from the family home.
