Dog dies in yard as heatwave sweeps Qld
AAP
A dog has died after being tied up with no access to shade or water in a Hervey Bay backyard.
The grim discovery comes amid the RSPCA pleading with pet owners to look after their furry friends as heatwave conditions sweep parts of the state.
A neighbour told the animal welfare organisation after noticing the dog had died in the backyard at Urangan on Saturday morning while tethered on a rope.
