Towies hook unexpected catch from bottom of Queensland creek
Tow truck drivers in Queensland's north have had to send in divers to help pull out a fully submerged car from a creek north of Mackay.
Posting photos of the 2000kg catch online, Queensland's Department of Transport and Main Roads said the car, a brand-new Isuzu MUX, was retrieved from McCreadys' Creek last month.
"One of the last things you want to find at the bottom of a creek," the social media post said, showing an initial picture with the invisible debris nowhere to be seen.

Marine Officers were deployed to help navigate the hooked car through the shallow waters, with authorities thinking the car might've been among several stolen vehicles.
The practice has become all the more common in the region, with the divers saying they've had to pull several waterlogged cars out of existing and flooded waterways over the years.
