Missing boatmen found in PNG village
AAP
Two boatmen have been found safe and well in a Papua New Guinea village two days after they went missing in a dinghy in the Torres Strait.
The PNG nationals ran into trouble between Saibai Island, which is close to the PNG mainland, and the tip of Cape York on Wednesday.
Torres Strait Island Patrol Group inspector Dave Lacey says the men had been drifting in the boat and likely made landfall in the mainland village of Buji, north of Boigu Island, on the day they went missing.

An AFP officer and detective sergeant from the Queensland police had been sent to the village after the men's dinghy was found washed ashore on Friday morning.
