Cyclone Raquel no threat to Qld
AAP
A tropical cyclone threatening the Solomon Islands is unlikely to hit the Queensland coast, the Bureau of Meteorology says.
Tropical Cyclone Raquel is currently 2000 km off Queensland and is expected to develop into a category two system in the next few days, bringing heavy rain and high speed winds to the islands.
However BoM media manager Jess Carey said it posed "no threat" to Australia at this point.
