Hundreds line up for world-famous croissants in locked down Brisbane
Hundreds of people queued for hours in South Brisbane to get their lips around a world-famous croissant today, raising questions over whether a gourmet bakery outing should be considered 'essential' under COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
Lune Croissanterie opened its first Queensland store today, adding to its two stores in Melbourne.
The internationally acclaimed pastry had customers lining up hours before the store even opened.

Police patrolling the line checking for mask-wearing and social distancing told 9News they were happy with the compliance of customers.
Yesterday, police handed out 253 masks and issued 66 penalty infringement notices.
The lockdown for South East Queensland is planned to lift on Sunday,
But to do so relies on the region maintaining high levels of testing and more than 7700 people deemed 'close contacts' complying with quarantine orders, authorities say.
