Cop injured during Qld car chase

A Queensland police officer has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being hit by a stolen car.

The male officer was hit by the car after a lengthy chase south of Brisbane on Wednesday morning.

A police helicopter and patrol cars began tracking two stolen cars at Chambers Flat at 8.30am.

Police said stingers were deployed, stopping one car and one man was arrested.

A second man from the other car was arrested at Waterford West an hour later after the incident which involved the injured officer.

Police have not confirmed the exact circumstances of how the officer was injured.
