Cocaine, ecstasy seized in Gold Coast raid
Police have arrested a member of the Hells Angels after allegedly finding up to $1 million worth of drugs at his Gold Coast hinterland home.
Officers who raided the Reedy Creek address about 7am on Friday allegedly found 1kg of methamphetamine or ice, 1kg of cannabis, more than 3000 ecstasy pills and two guns.
Detective Inspector Brendan Smith said police had acted on a tip-off.
"The drugs are valued at anywhere between $800,000 to $1 million on the street," he told AAP.
"The operation has removed probably 14,000 drug hits from the street."
The guns seized were a pistol-grip shotgun and a handgun.
Det Insp Smith said a 26-year-old patched Hells Angels gang member was in custody and had been charged with drugs and weapons offences.
The man is expected to front Southport Magistrates Court on Saturday.
