Chopper has bad landing on Moreton Island

A helicopter has flown two people to be checked by paramedics at a Queensland resort after they survived a rough landing in another chopper on Moreton Island.

The first helicopter "landed heavily" on the island on Wednesday morning but its passengers were quickly taken to Tangalooma Island Resort by the second aircraft, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said.

While the two passengers were still being assessed by paramedics, they did not appear to have sustained major injuries, she said.
