Charges after girl found safe in Qld

A woman and a man have been charged following an incident in which a six-year-old girl was taken from a home in Caboolture north of Brisbane.

The girl had been the subject of a police Amber Alert but was found safe and well on the Sunshine Coast on Tuesday afternoon.

Police early on Wednesday said they had charged a 24-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man with burglary and commit an indictable offence (domestic violence offence).

The woman has been denied police bail to appear in the Caboolture Magistrates Court on Wednesday and the man has been released on bail to appear in the same court on July 20.
