Cattle ears severed in Qld cruelty case

The ears of two cattle have been severed and tied to a gate with a piece of wire in a bizarre case of animal cruelty in central Queensland.

Police say it's unclear whether the cattle on the Marlborough property were dead or alive when they were mutilated, as no remains or injured animals have been found.

Investigators believe the incident happened about 7pm on Wednesday last week and have urged anyone with information to contact them.
