Car hits elderly Qld man on scooter

A 91-year-old man has serious injuries after a car hit his mobility scooter on a pedestrian crossing on the Gold Coast.
The man was crossing a street at Runaway Bay about 1pm on Monday when a woman, 70, hit him in her car.
The man was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital where he remains in a serious condition and police have appealed for witnesses.
