Brisbane blanketed by fog
A thick bout of dust has swept through Brisbane after the city woke to a blanket of fog.
The dust was blown in from western Queensland at about midday after motorists were already urged to take extra care on the roads and to drive to the conditions from the fog.
Operations at Brisbane Airport were slowed for safety reasons, with some flight delays possible.
Heavy fog was also reported west of Brisbane, at Ipswich and in the Lockyer Valley, and south of Brisbane in the Scenic Rim area.

The fog also forced the cancellation of Brisbane River ferry services.
The Lockyer Valley was the first to be hit by the dust after the Bureau of Meteorology warned the fog should clear quickly once it reached Ipswich and Brisbane.
The warmer Queensland weather comes as Australia's south-east is hit by an icy blast, bringing snow and rain.
