Creek searched after Brisbane man killed

A creek and house have been searched as police try to work out who stabbed a Brisbane man to death.

The Upper Mount Gravatt man, 42, died in QEII Hospital on Saturday night after he was driven to the hospital with "significant" wounds, police say.

Investigating police were later led to Lani Street, Wishart - where a home, two cars and the nearby Bulimba Creek were searched.

A number of items and the two vehicles - a black 2009 Nissan Tiida and a late model red Mitsubishi Mirage - were seized.

"These vehicles have been seen in the local area over the past two weeks and police are appealing for anyone with information about the vehicles to contact them," a police statement said on Sunday.
