Brisbane councillor faces drunk charge after Friday night drinks

A Brisbane City councillor charged with public drunkenness has had the matter finalised in court after forfeiting bail.
Nicole Johnston, the independent councillor for Tennyson, was arrested and held in police custody for several hours after an incident early on Saturday morning.

She did not appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today to face one charge of being drunk in public.
She was not required to appear and the case was finalised after her solicitor Emma Fogerty forfeited her bail of 50 cents.
