Boy fights for life after becoming trapped under bus in Brisbane

A young boy is fighting for life in hospital after becoming trapped under a bus while riding his bike in Brisbane's north.

Police said the boy was riding his bike at about 7.05pm when he collided with a bus at the intersection of Hamilton Road and Spence Street in Wavell Heights.

The boy was trapped under the bus for a short time before being freed and taken to Lady Cilento Children's Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said the Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the incident.
