A 10-year-old boy has been arrested following an incident that's seen an eight-year-old taken to hospital with serious burns, Queensland Police say.
Emergency services were called to a house in Mount Isa on Saturday by family members who were treating the eight-year-old boy for burns allegedly received when a liquid accelerant was thrown at him and set alight.
Paramedics rushed him to Mount Isa Base Hospital, where he remains in a serious condition, and is expected to be airlifted to Townsville or Brisbane at some point.
