Body found after Gold Coast house fire

A body has been found at a Gold Coast home, days after the house burnt down.

The fire totally destroyed the home, at Runaway Bay, early Sunday morning.

Authorities are yet to identify the body or determine the cause of the blaze.

Fire investigator Lindsay Spencer said they were going through the damage slowly and carefully.

"Because there is so much damage and so much heavy material we need the excavators to slowly sift through," he told the ABC.
