Blaze rips through far north Qld eatery

A fire that ripped through a restaurant north of Cairns is being treated as suspicious.

A member of the public alerted authorities after seeing smoke billowing from the Mission Beach dining spot just after 11pm on Sunday.

Police have declared a crime scene at the property, which was extensively damaged.
