'Bikies' arrested over Qld jail face-off

Two alleged bikies have faced court accused of threatening and abusing Queensland prison officers who refused to let them visit an inmate.

Police allege the pair are members of the Lone Wolf outlaw bikie gang.

It's alleged they threatened, abused and tried to intimidate officers at the Woodford Correctional Centre earlier this month, after they were denied entry as visitors.

It's also claimed they stopped the officers from doing their jobs.

On off-duty police officer spotted the pair at a Tweed Coast gym early on Wednesday, and alerted colleagues who quickly arrested them.

Police from Queensland's anti-bikie Taskforce Maxima successfully applied for their extradition when the pair faced court in Murwillumbah in northern NSW.

The two men, aged 32 and 34, have been charged with obstructing a public official in the execution of their duty.
