The trial of a Bandido bikie accused of being involved in a mass brawl on the Gold Coast will resume on Tuesday.

Peter Mauric, 45, was allegedly one of around 40 Bandidos members and associates who gathered outside a busy Broadbeach restaurant about 8.30pm on Friday, September 27, 2013.

On the first day of the trial in the Southport Magistrates Court on Monday crown barrister Jeff Hunter said the group intended to show its force to Jason Trouchet, a member of the rival Finks gang who was dining inside.

About 21 men, including Teamo and Mauric, brought Mr Trouchet outside where a fight broke out before police intervened, the court heard.

Nine other men who were alleged to have been involved in the brawl, which sparked a legislative crackdown, pleaded guilty to charges including riot, affray and public nuisance on Monday.

Mauric's trial for threatening to use unlawful violence continues before Magistrate Michael Quinn.

A further 16 men are also due to stand trial over the brawl later this month.
