Baden-Clay befriends Queensland's most notorious murderer: report

Convicted wife killer Gerard Baden-Clay has reportedly sparked up a friendship with triple murder Max Sica in the Queensland jail they share.

The killers have been spotted together between shifts at the Wolston Correctional Centre, the Courier Mail reports.

Sica, who was found guilty in 2012 of murdering three siblings of the same family, has a paid job in the prison's kitchen while Baden-Clay, who has been convicted two years later for the murder of his wife Alison, is a volunteer who delivers meals three times a day.

Baden-Clay only recently began to be integrated into the general prison population after spending the initial part of his sentence in near isolation, where his only contact was with his lawyer, a doctor and guards.

In December, he won an appeal and had his murder conviction reduced to one of manslaughter by the Court of Appeal.

The Director of Public Prosecutions has since appealed to the High Court to have Baden-Clay's murder conviction reinstated.

Sica is currently serving a 35-year sentence, Queensland's longest, for murdering Sidhi, Kunal and Neelma Singh in 2003.

He will be eligible for parole in 2047.
