Qld court mention for baby siege accused
The sister of a man accused of arming himself with a knife and holding a baby hostage at a Queensland home fears for his welfare.
Troy John Fuller, 41, is facing eight charges including stalking and child stealing after the siege at a home in Logan, south of Brisbane, on Thursday morning.
Fuller didn't appear when his matter was mentioned in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Friday and he has been remanded in custody with the matter adjourned until March 31.
"The whole family is concerned," Fuller's sister, who didn't give her name, said outside court after the brief mention.
Police allege Fuller, from Kingston, took a three-week-old baby girl hostage after getting into a dispute with a woman staying at the home.
A siege situation ensued before police stormed the home about 7.45am after Fuller allegedly threatened to harm the baby.
The baby was released to paramedics shortly afterwards and was unharmed.
It's understood Fuller is not related to the baby girl, nor does he live at the home.
