Axe, crowbar used in Qld club hold-up

Masked bandits armed with an axe and a crowbar have held up staff at a sports club south of Brisbane.

Police say the two men fled with an undisclosed sum of cash after breaking into the club at Beenleigh just before 3am on Wednesday.

Terrified staff members were forced to open the club's front doors so the offenders could escape. They remain on the run.
