The alleged Queensland president of the Mongols bikie gang accused of masterminding a huge drug syndicate is expected to apply for bail in a Brisbane court.

Nick "The Knife" Forbes, 45, is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday after his first appearance late last month.

Then, Forbes' lawyer flagged his client was likely to apply for bail at his next court date.

He's facing drug offences after being arrested in the culmination of a police sting that saw more than 100 people accused of helping run a multi-million dollar drugs syndicate.

Forbes and the club's treasurer and enforcer were among 10 patched current and former members to be charged in the 18-month police operation.
