Alleged gunslinger to face Qld court

A man who allegedly drew a gun on police officers is set to face a Queensland court on Tuesday.

The 27-year-old man is accused of levelling the weapon at police when he was approached while sitting in a car outside the Southport Courthouse on Monday.

The car had earlier been involved in two brief chases with police.

Although arrested without further incident the man was later given a total of 13 charges including serious assault of a police officer and two counts of evading police.

The man is due to appear at Southport Magistrates Court.
