A Gold Coast teenager will spend another two months in jail for allegedly mutilating a cat, torching a car and scrawling an extortion message using the dead animal's blood.

Jordan Isaiah Christie, 19, appeared via video link in Southport Magistrates court today.

He has been charged with extortion, arson, willful damage and killing an animal.

Mandy White awoke to find her cat mutilated outside her Arundel home on June 17, after Christie allegedly stole it and cut off its head and paws.

The teen is also accused of writing a threatening message on the home's garage door, using the cat's blood.

"Whers my money, tik tok (sic)?" Christie allegedly wrote.

A car at the house was also torched, police allege.

In July, the court was told the incident followed a nightclub fight with local man Lewis Hallam.

Christie's alleged extortion involved demands for $3000 to cover the cost of injuries he sustained in the brawl.

He was denied bail in July on the grounds that there was an unacceptable risk of reoffending.

There was no application for bail on Friday, with his matter adjourned until October 29.

Police must provide a brief of evidence by October 6.
